Realignment corporate functions in the enterprise
To increase competitiveness the costs for the so-called corporate functions or indirect areas are to be reduced and an immediate (reoccurring) increase in the subsequent years avoided.
At the start of such a project a systematic capture of all resources and tasks are essential. On the basis of this “activity recording”, starting points and measures to reduce costs are compiled. This procedure is supplemented with a top down approach for objective establishing and defining the desired and required tasks. Parallel to that, mechanisms for managing corporate functions are implemented.
Depending on function and willingness for change, cost-cutting successes of up to 30% can be achieved. On average the cost reductions lie between 10-15%. An essential partial aspect of such a project is the transparency of expenses and their future management.
